How SnapPlanet Uses Your Personal Information

This policy covers how SnapPlanet treats personal information that SnapPlanet collects and receives, including information related to your past use of SnapPlanet products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

SnapPlanet collects personal information when you register with SnapPlanet, when you use SnapPlanet products or services, when you visit SnapPlanet pages.

When you register we ask for information such as your name and email address. For some products and services we might also ask for your address and payment information. When you register with SnapPlanet and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.

SnapPlanet collects information about your transactions with us and with some of our business partners, including information about your use of products and services that we offer.

SnapPlanet stores all communications content.

SnapPlanet automatically receives and records information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, SnapPlanet cookie information, software and hardware attributes, and the page you request.

SnapPlanet uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.

Safety

We do our best to keep SnapPlanet safe, but we cannot guarantee it. We need your help to keep SnapPlanet safe, which includes the following commitments by you:

You will not post unauthorized commercial communications (such as spam) on SnapPlanet.
You will not collect users' content or information, or otherwise access SnapPlanet, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers) without our prior permission.
You will not engage in unlawful multi-level marketing, such as a pyramid scheme, on SnapPlanet.
You will not upload viruses or other malicious code.
You will not solicit login information or access an account belonging to someone else.
You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user.
You will not post content that: is hate speech, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.
You will not develop or operate a third-party application containing alcohol-related, dating or other mature content (including advertisements) without appropriate age-based restrictions.
You will not use SnapPlanet to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.
You will not do anything that could disable, overburden, or impair the proper working or appearance of SnapPlanet, such as a denial of service attack or interference with page rendering or other SnapPlanet functionality.
You will not facilitate or encourage any violations of this Statement or our policies

SnapPlanet reserves the right to ban any user who does not respect these rules

Information Sharing & Disclosure

SnapPlanet does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with SnapPlanet under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help SnapPlanet communicate with you about offers from SnapPlanet and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.

We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of SnapPlanet's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

We transfer information about you if SnapPlanet is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, SnapPlanet will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

SnapPlanet does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

SnapPlanet may set and access SnapPlanet cookies on your computer. We may also set and access device identifiers which could include IP address, user agent information (browser version, OS type and version), and device provided identifiers. Once you log into SnapPlanet on your device, SnapPlanet may recognize your device to provide you with a personalized experience, independent of your device settings.

Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences

You can edit your SnapPlanet Account Information at any time. You can also modify information you have provided to SnapPlanet through the SnapPlanet products or services you may use.

You can delete your account by sending a request to hello@snapplanet.io. Your account and all the attached information will be deleted entirely. You will receive a confirmation email once your account is deleted (usually under 48 hours)

We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the SnapPlanet service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the SnapPlanet Newsletter, that are considered part of your SnapPlanet account, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.

Confidentiality & Security

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

Changes to This Policy

SnapPlanet may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your SnapPlanet account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
